konartist: fuckyeahtattoos: Growing up, I was up rooted from everything I knew every 3 - 4 years because my father was, and still is, an officer in the Canadian military. My tattoo is a series of lotus flowers, which mean new beginnings.  Because I moved so much, I’ve always had a new beginning. As well, due to the influence of my father I have enrolled in the Canadian Forces and will continue to begin over and over again.  everything about this tattoo is beautiful

ccccc i was just reminded of when i was in brazil with eliot and his family on this tiny *completely* deserted island in the middle of this huge river, i can no longer remember the name of.. We had just gotten off of the small boat we had been traveling on, for the day and had set up camp, (it was raining warm rain on and off all day long). We didn’t really have much food to eat, so we dug in the mud at the waters edge and found TONS of little closed up clams, we had felt them before deep down in the mud between our toes when we were tying up the boat for the night. So as directed by Eliot’s mother, we threw them into a big steal pot, along with chopped up carrots, tomatoes, and celery sticks & sat the pot over the camp fire Eliot and our Portuguese rasta friend Bob had set up. within a half hour the clams had opened up and cooked through, and we had the most delicious (naturally salty) stew i have ever had.. mm i can still smell the mix of warm rain air, fire, sand, and clams! *this is eliot’s sister charlotte doing a flip off the front of the boat into the river*
